TRADUCTIONS LANGULAIRE, Laval University’s own translation firm, is a non-profit organization managed by students working towards a Bachelor or Master’s degree in translation. The firm is sponsored by the OTTIAQ (Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec, http://ottiaq.org/index_fr.php). Set up in 1998 through a student initiative, the firm quickly established itself within the university community as the reference in linguistics.
The primary objective of TRADUCTIONS LANGULAIRE is to introduce translation students to the profession by allowing them to gain practical work experience, discover the job market and learn more about managing a translation firm. TRADUCTIONS LANGULAIRE also offers translation and revising services to the university and the community at competitive rates.
